DR. Courtni Hale, Phd.
Dr. Courtni Hale works with high-performing adults who are carrying a great deal on the outside while privately feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, stuck in recurring patterns, or increasingly disconnected from the person they know themselves to be.
Her work focuses on nervous-system regulation, stress recovery, behavioral patterns, resilience, and the relationship between the body, mind, and the way we live. Rather than treating stress, burnout, relationship strain, health concerns, and major life transitions as unrelated issues, Dr. Hale helps clients understand the human operating system beneath all of them.
Her professional background spans counseling, transpersonal psychology, human performance, behavior change, leadership, and integrative approaches to personal transformation. Over the course of decades, she has worked with individuals navigating complex personal and professional demands, including executives, entrepreneurs, parents, professionals, people in major life transitions, and those trying to rebuild their lives after prolonged periods of stress.
A central part of Dr. Hale’s work is the Compass™ Human Operating System, a framework she developed to help people understand where their capacity may be getting lost. Compass examines four core areas: direction, available energy and capacity, recurring patterns, and the hidden agreements that continue to shape behavior. The goal is not simply to help people feel better in the moment, but to help them understand why the same difficulties keep returning and what must change for improvement to become sustainable.
Her interest in this work is also personal. Like many people who become deeply involved in healing and human development, Dr. Hale’s professional path was shaped by periods of profound change, reinvention, challenge, and the necessity of learning how to rebuild from the inside out. Those experiences led her to study not only what people think and feel, but what happens when the nervous system, the body, identity, relationships, and life circumstances all begin influencing one another at the same time.
That perspective is central to the way she works today. She does not approach clients as a collection of symptoms or as people who simply need more discipline. She looks at the entire system: what the body is carrying, what the nervous system is responding to, what patterns keep repeating, what expectations are still operating beneath the surface, and whether the life a person is trying to sustain is actually aligned with who they are now.
At the center of her philosophy is a simple idea:
People often do not need to become someone new. They need to recover access to the intelligence, resilience, and capacity that stress and life experience have made harder to reach.
My Approach
Dr. Hale is particularly interested in the point where physical health and life experience intersect. Chronic stress can influence sleep, concentration, energy, recovery, decision-making, emotional regulation, relationships, and the ability to make meaningful changes. When those systems are addressed together, clients often gain a much clearer understanding of what has been happening and where to intervene.
Her work complements naturopathic care by addressing the human and behavioral side of healing. While Dr. Kim Furtado focuses on the physical foundations of health, Dr. Hale helps clients examine the stress patterns, nervous-system responses, life demands, recurring behaviors, and internal agreements that may be influencing their ability to recover and sustain change.
Her approach is practical, direct, and highly individualized. The objective is not endless analysis. It is to help people restore access to their own judgment, energy, clarity, and capacity so they can make better decisions about their health, relationships, work, and future.
